pop-up expo 'just another brick'

Finally, my pop-up exposition at the Zilverschoon Brick Yard is ready. The fact that a brick often is considered ‘just a brick’ inspired me to make this work, emphasizing the craft of the making. Even though some bricks are made using machines, each brick has been touched by a human hand, and made with care.
Clay is my passion, as is reusing materials I found at the yard. Many come from the dumpster and will return there; objects of unfired clay will end up on the clay pile to be re-made into bricks; ‘borrowed bricks will be re-stacked.
